Literature Text

You don’t really have an option,
You’re mine for me to love,
You’re now my sweetest dove,
That I’ll keep in golden cage,
Don’t you dare set off my rage,
And try flying from my keep,
Because you know I won’t sleep,
Until you’re back here by my side,
It’s impossible to hide,
You belong to me forever,
And you know that you will never,
Find a man that wants you so,
I won’t let a filthy crow,
Take away my charming treasure,
My devotion has no measure,
I’ll protect your every feather,
And one day we’ll be together,
Because I’m he who you’ll adore,
Your eyes will forcefully implore,
That I keep you from the skies,
For the bird that freely flies,
Just knows nothing about love…
Ok this is NOT the average type of poem I produce; you can easily tell it's way off my comfort zone if you take a look at my gallery. However, I thought it would be a good idea to try something more dark and obsessive for a change, and I think it worked out alright~

I'm enjoying fixed format a lot since I started working on improving my form on it. I don't think I'll be doing fixed syllables anytime soon, but fixed follow-up rhymes are really cool to work with.

If you like this poem, make sure you really let me know; It's not my norm to run so far out my style but if people like it then it immediately becomes a good experience. I did enjoy imagining this one though; the narrating entity is absolutely obsessed beyond possible repair. Love taken too far? Or not love at all? What's your take on that?

Hmm, this hit me a lot of different ways, all of them were good.

I like this style, much as I like all of your other work. Even though you are older and in all likelihood more wise than I, I suggest doing more of this style writing and see if you don't get more accustomed and familiar with yourself in this strain.
